The Stonebite is an Uncommon, limited-time, single-harvest crop introduced on July 5, 2025 during the Prehistoric Update in Grow a Garden. Classified as a Flower, Stalky, and Prehistoric-type crop, it is affected by any boosts, items, and mechanics related to those three categories.
Appearance
The Stonebite features a light green stem topped with a pale blue-grey flower head shaped like a mouth. A single leaf bends inward toward the bloom, giving it a slightly predatory look.
Each Stonebite also grows with a unique stem angle, so no two look exactly the same.
To obtain the limited-time Stonebite seed in the Prehistoric Update, players must rely on Ancient Seed Packs rather than pets, since event seeds cannot be duplicated or dug up by any companion. While you can buy Grow a Garden pets to assist with regular farming, they won’t help with Stonebite, making questing, crafting, or purchasing Ancient Seed Packs the only reliable methods for getting this uncommon prehistoric crop.
How to Get Stonebite
Because Stonebite is an event-exclusive seed, it cannot be obtained through pets, digging mechanics, or normal gameplay. Instead, players must acquire Ancient Seed Packs or Exotic Ancient Seed Packs, which offer specific drop chances.
Here are the three ways to obtain Ancient Seed Packs during the Prehistoric Event:
1. Completing Dino Quests
Talk to Blaire, the Prehistoric Quest NPC, and select “Show me the quest.”
You’ll receive three Dino Quests, each with its own rewards, including chances for Ancient Seed Packs. Progress also contributes toward your weekly event rewards.
2. Crafting Ancient Seed Packs
Use the crafting bench located beside Blaire. Crafting requires:
- 1× Dinosaur Egg
- 5,500,000 Sheckles
3. Purchasing with Robux
- Buy an Ancient Seed Pack for 199 Robux.
- Exotic Ancient Seed Packs may also be available temporarily in the Shop with slightly different seed odds.
Important Notes
- Pets such as the Red Fox (duplicates seeds) cannot duplicate event seeds.
- Dogs will not dig up event seeds.
